Most taxis are new, spacious and, in addition to the traditional green-yellow and red-blue, they also come in funky colours like bright orange, red and even pink.

Taxi meter in Bangkok service 24 hours everyday. Taxi meter start rate from 35 Baht.Always insist the use of meter to avoid being overcharged or shortchanged.Toll fees are paid by the passenger.

Taxi from the airport (The one in queue) charge an additional 50 Baht.

Tuk-tuks or 'sam lor' (three-wheeled, open-air) a taxi-style transport unique to Thailand. Tuk-tuk can take you almost anywhere getting around the city.

Tuk-tuk start rate 40 Baht for short distance and 100 Baht or more for farther destinations.However it would be wise to ask a local friend or a hotel staff, for fare rates to avoid being charged overly.

BTS have two railway lines.
BTS Line One - Sukhumvit Line
Mochit Station (Jatujak Weekend Market) - On nut Station (Sukhumvit soi 77)
BTS Line two - Silom Line
National Stadium Station (MBK-Big Shopping Center) - Saphan Taksin Station (Chaopraya River central pier)

At the Siam Station you can switch between lines. BTS run every few minute from 6 a.m until 23.30 p.m before midnight. BTS a quicker alternative to land transportation especially during heavy traffice jam. Fare is between 15 Baht to 40 Baht

MRT run an 18-station line from Hua Lamphong Station to Bang Sue Station. Operating daily from 6 a.m - 23.30 p.m

MRT intersects Silom,Sukhumvit and Chatujak Skytrain Stations.
Fare is between 15 Baht - 4o Baht.

Express River Boat begin ply the Chaopraya River from the Saphan Taksin (Sathorn Pier ) to Nonthaburi, stopping at some 30 main pier to drop and pick passengers.Fare is between 10 - 35 Baht depending on distance.You can buy the ticket on the boat or at the pier. Boat depat every 20 minute.

Canal Boats still serve tourists and locals travelling through Klong Saen Saeb, one of Bangkok's many canals (Khlong).

Khlong Saen Saeb Canal Boats operate from Banglamphu across the city to Ramkhamhaeng University.

Canal Boats will pass Sukhumvit and the World Trade Center too.For World Trade Center Pier located under the bridge at Ratchadamri Road near Pratunam.
